AZITA  (Chicago)
Glen Echo
Drag City

After taking in the three singles Azita Youssefi has released from this one, we can’t wait to get our ears on more of this guitar laden indie rock gold. The only musician listed, is it possible Youssefi played all the instruments? Very much so. Scop this one out for some great earworms that will get you through the late afternoon Friday doldrums.

Cole DeGenova (Chicago)
Dopamine
Rosebud Allday

Blurring the lines of R&B, hip-hop, and electro-pop, Cole DeGenova’s Rosebud Allday debut may only be a three song EP, but it’ll be on repeat for us all weekend long. The single “Holy Holy” has a groove that just won’t quit.

Chicago garage rock at its finest, The Sueves newest effort promises to be a smoker from start to finish. Get off with this ripping trio as you swill some beer on your porch. Yes, bars are open if you want, but do you really wanna deal with that when you can blast some Sueves and chug an Old Style in the comfort of your lawn chair.

Har Mar Superstar (Minneapolis)
Roseville
Love OnLine

Everyone's favorite over the top showman Sean Tillman returns with yet another gorgeous retro-laden beauty. This time capturing 70s AM pop wonder, Har Mar Superstar produces what could be his best effort in a long and excellent career.

That is far from all the new music this week, and some honorable mentions have to go to Tigers Jaw out of Scranton, PA with their indie wonder work I Won’t Care How You Remember Me, Prism Bitch from Albuquerque with their rocking sounds in Perla, and Thirdface coming from Nashville who will tear your ears off with Do It With A Smile. Come back next week for more new music picks from your trusty Crowd Surfer crew.

It bears repeating, we want to cover Chicago music, so if you have something coming out, please submit it!
