Old Joy
Monks Aflame

A collaborative project from Alex Reindl, the brainchild behind Old Joy, and his father James. Starting out as a fathers day present to lay down some of his dad’s songs, Alex wrote music to the lyrics and they laid them down at Jamdek with Doug Malone at the controls. Knowing the story makes this the perfect EP to lay 2020 to bed. Intimate, emotionally charged, and filled with a warmth that is necessary to maintain sanity in what has been a crazy year.

Half of the proceeds are going to My Block, My Hood, My City and Never Alone Recovery Network so shoot over to bandcamp to buy this great record for a meager $5.

Sex No Babies
Exotic Other

Art hop mavens Sex No Babies turn their attention to harrasment scandals and the half hearted public apologies that follow. With a kicking beat by Bento and the incomparable Rahim Salaam at the mic, even a scathing societal takedown can get the body moving.

Maeve and Quinn
Line Of Best Fit

You can always count on these sister transplants from Alaska to bring gorgeous melodies and poetic lyrics to their stories about everyday life and relationships. Line Of Best Fit channels their best Tori Amos influence, to deliver a beautiful piano ballad into the stratosphere.

Devon Kay & the Solutions
A Little Bit

Oct. 16th

These pop punkers have had a great year, pandemic be damned, and A Little Bit shows just how much they have grown as songwriters. Nothing like a life examination set to rocking punk with a horn section and spacy synth.

Meat Wave
Yell At The Moon

The first new music from this post-punk power trio in two years, yet they haven’t lost a step. Grinding into your psyche with a killer tom beat and Chris Sutter’s unmistakable chant and wail.

Later this week we have a new Amplify feature coming and our second half of the Year In Review. Stay Tuned!

If we missed your music please let us know and we will try to fit it in somewhere. Please submit here!
