Hard-hitting local trio Oozing Wound have delivered their first single from new record High Anxiety, due out March 15th on Thrill Jockey Records. This gut-tightening three-and-a-half minute slugfest is all you need to awaken the senses. (Better for you than caffeine, and way more addictive than nicotine.)
No info yet on a release party, but we’ll let you know if we hear of one.
The distinctive flow and topical lyrics that made her a household name this fall are clearly evident in this new track. After a sold-out run at Thalia Hall for New Years, this local MC is headed out on the road in 2019. Take the world by storm Noname!
We don’t expect a Chicago date till the summer for sure.

Rap Up 2018
Every year Brooklyn’s Uncle Murda (Leonard Grant) sums up the year with a hip hop and pop culture infused rhyme fest. This years nine plus minute track covers everything from the Kanye craziness to the Drake v. Pusha T feud to Cardi B blowing up to Lebron’s LA move and way beyond...

The Queen of Soul, Chaka Khan has returned with her new track, “Hello Happiness” and has leaked a new album with the same title debuting on February 15th. The song boasts that notable funk beat, taking listeners back in time... W. With Chaka Khan’s up-beat voice and positive lyrics, audiences will revel in the happiness music brings through this perfectly titled song.
The Chicago native does not have any stops in Chicago planned yet.
Baila Baila Baila
Puerto Rican Reggaeton rapper Ozuna releases new dance hit “Baila, Baila, Baila” (Dance, Dance,Dance), an anthem to women who don’t want to have anything to do with love, but just want to have a good time with their girlfriends. Ozuna plays a character who is enamored by her own confidence and even more so while dancing at the club. Although a typical reggaeton theme, the song is fun and makes you wanna get up and dance with her!
Ozuna isn’t making it off the West Coast anytime soon.
